PCMSCAN ProScan Packaing: ELM322 Interface with integrated OBD2 connector (with ELM Chip) RS232 extension cable to connect the Interface to the PC Remarks: The ELM322 OBDII Interface, allows you to talk to your VPW (10.4KHz J-1850 VPW) standard OBDII equipped vehicle using an RS232 serial connection. It is typically used in US cars from General Motors and some from Daimler Chrysler. It transparently converts between a VPW J-1850 data stream and standard ASCII characters, allowing trouble codes and operating parameters to be easily retrieved without the need for special software. No knowledge of data formatting, error checking, bus initiation etc. is needed either, as the ELM322 handles all of it for you. The present version of the ELM322 (v2.0) provides several programmable features that the previous versions did not offer. we do not provide the software for car diagnostic items, we sell only the hardware interface. The user should source it from the specific original licenced or any optional third party. Part of the shareware can search online |
